Websites for businesses in Pocklington

Pocklington is a market town about 13 miles east of York, at the foot of the Yorkshire Wolds. I help its independent businesses with websites that work on a phone, load quickly and are easy to update.

Town-centre independents and the Wolds

Pocklington's town centre is mostly independent shops, cafés, pubs and salons, and the villages around it are full of tradespeople, farm businesses, B&Bs and holiday cottages. Walkers and cyclists heading for the Wolds search for somewhere to eat, stay or pick up supplies, usually on a phone and often at the last minute.

• Care plan, £25 a month. I keep the site running and backed up, and help when you're stuck. No contract.

You keep your own domain in your name and pay for it yourself, usually about £10 a year. Every site comes with a simple editor, so you can change opening hours, notices, text and photos from your phone.
