Websites for businesses in Haxby
Haxby sits just north of York, about four miles from the city centre, and it's a short trip from Easingwold where I live. I help businesses here get a website that's quick on a phone and easy to keep up to date.
Businesses that serve the neighbourhood
Most customers of a Haxby café, takeaway, hairdresser or tradesperson live close by: Haxby itself, Wigginton, Strensall and the edge of York. They already know roughly who you are. What they look up is whether you're open today, what things cost and how to get hold of you.
If that information lives only on Facebook, or on a site that hasn't been touched in years, people ring someone else. A small, clear site with your hours and a call button is often all it takes.
What I can do and what it costs
- Quick fix, £60. Fixes to the site you already have, including Wix, Squarespace or WordPress: hours, phone number, broken links, a tap-to-call button. Done in two or three days.
- Refresh, from £250. Your current site rebuilt with a new look and moved to Cloudflare hosting with no monthly hosting fee. Same web address, same content.
- New site, from £350, half up front and half when it's live. For a business with no website, or only a Facebook page.
- Care plan, £25 a month. I keep the site running and backed up, and help when you're stuck. No contract.
You keep your own domain in your name and pay for it yourself, usually about £10 a year. Every site comes with a simple editor, so you can change opening hours, notices, text and photos from your phone.
How the free website check works
Send me your website address, or your Facebook page if you don't have a site. I look at it on a phone and a laptop and reply with a short list of what I'd fix first and what it would cost. No obligation, and the price is fixed before I start.
Working with me
You deal with me, Yehor, directly: no agency, no account managers. Haxby is close to both York and Easingwold, so I'm happy to meet in person.
