Websites for businesses in Malton
Malton is a market town about 18 miles north-east of York, with direct trains from the city. I help its independent businesses get websites that work properly on a phone and that owners can update themselves.
A town people travel to
Malton has a strong reputation for food and drink, and many of its delis, cafés, bakeries, butchers and producers draw customers from well outside the town. Those visitors plan the trip on a phone: they check what's on, when you're open and whether they can order ahead.
A site with a current menu or product list, clear opening times and, if you want it, a simple order form that arrives in your email, helps turn that search into a visit. The same goes for B&Bs and holiday lets in and around Malton and Norton.
What I can do and what it costs
- Quick fix, £60. Fixes to the site you already have, including Wix, Squarespace or WordPress: hours, phone number, broken links, a tap-to-call button. Done in two or three days.
- Refresh, from £250. Your current site rebuilt with a new look and moved to Cloudflare hosting with no monthly hosting fee. Same web address, same content.
- New site, from £350, half up front and half when it's live. For a business with no website, or only a Facebook page.
- Care plan, £25 a month. I keep the site running and backed up, and help when you're stuck. No contract.
You keep your own domain in your name and pay for it yourself, usually about £10 a year. Every site comes with a simple editor, so you can change opening hours, notices, text and photos from your phone.
How the free website check works
Send me your website address, or your Facebook page if you don't have a site. I look at it on a phone and a laptop and reply with a short list of what I'd fix first and what it would cost. No obligation, and the price is fixed before I start.
Working with me
You deal with me, Yehor, directly: no agency, no account managers. I'm happy to meet in person, usually on a Friday or at the weekend, and much of the work can be done by message and email in between.
