Websites for businesses in York
I study in York and build websites for small local businesses alongside my studies. If you run a café, shop, guest house or trade in the city, I can fix, refresh or build your site for a fixed price agreed before I start.
Standing out in a busy city
York has a huge number of independent businesses, and many of their customers are visitors who have never walked past the shop. They search on a phone, often while standing in the street, and pick whoever shows clear opening hours, a menu or price list, and a way to call or book.
An old desktop-only site, or hours that still show last Christmas, loses those people to the next result. I focus on the things that matter on a phone: quick loading, up-to-date information, and one tap to call.
What I can do and what it costs
- Quick fix, £60. Fixes to the site you already have, including Wix, Squarespace or WordPress: hours, phone number, broken links, a tap-to-call button. Done in two or three days.
- Refresh, from £250. Your current site rebuilt with a new look and moved to Cloudflare hosting with no monthly hosting fee. Same web address, same content.
- New site, from £350, half up front and half when it's live. For a business with no website, or only a Facebook page.
- Care plan, £25 a month. I keep the site running and backed up, and help when you're stuck. No contract.
You keep your own domain in your name and pay for it yourself, usually about £10 a year. Every site comes with a simple editor, so you can change opening hours, notices, text and photos from your phone.
How the free website check works
Send me your website address, or your Facebook page if you don't have a site. I look at it on a phone and a laptop and reply with a short list of what I'd fix first and what it would cost. No obligation, and the price is fixed before I start.
Working with me
You deal with me, Yehor, directly: no agency, no account managers. I'm in York for my studies, so I'm happy to meet in person at your business or somewhere nearby.
